Trek Nation is a documentary produced by Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, Jr., son of the late Star Trek creator, describing his father’s legacy by examining his most famous creation. The show will appear on the Science Channel on Wednesday, November 30, starting at 7 p.m. (Central Time) and run for two hours. (SCI will replay the show at 10 p.m.).
For those of you who don’t know: WatchParty is setup as an “online experience” — people watch the show, make their comments, win autographed prizes, etc. It’s usually all done in your own home with your own TV and your own internet connection. For ours, however, we’ll meet in person at Katie Cline’s residence to watch the show but also to take part in that other fun stuff. We’ll get together as early as 6 p.m., eat food, hang-out, and then watch the show at 7.
However, you must register first by contacting Jay. Also, if you have one, please bring your laptop or notebook to share your opinions on the movie. This will be a potluck diner, so please bring a dish; Katie will provide some beer for those legal enough to drink and some soft beverages for those that are not (or chose not to drink alcohol).
